Listen nuh, we need fi watch what wi say and curb how wi talk yu know. Yes peeps, words have power.

Just like how smiles and laughter can improve beauty while angry face mek people look ugly, is same way words work. Positive words bring light and goodness while negative words increase darkness and despair.

Bob Marley tells us eloquently “If you get down and you quarrel every day, you’re saying prayers to the devil I say” and I totally agree.

Trust mi beloved, if we get up every waking day and just a talk pure vile, ugly, profane words, what we’re really doing is injecting negativity into the atmosphere and corrupting the environment.

And if we keep switching around the meaning of words and saying negative things in place of positive things we are simply perpetuating a dangerous situation.

Imagine, you see a good show or enjoy a nice performance and when you describing it to your friends, you tell them how ‘di ting shot’ or how it ‘wickid’.

Yeah it may sound cute, but it’s a dangerous thing! As an anointed man of God recently reminded me, God, the universe and people respond to what we say, not what we mean.

SPEAK GOODNESS

A serious ting iyah, the power of life and death is in the tongue. So we need to say positive things. Speak goodness and light into our own lives and into the life of those we come into contact with.

We can speak things into being. We can create positive energies and perpetuate blessed situations with our words, and we can also cancel and cast out bad energy with the potency of our words. Yu nuh believe me? Try it nuh!

Leggo di negative talk! Some man need fi stop refer to themselves and their colleagues as ‘dog’. Be a lion instead.

And instead of telling your girl that you plan to ‘kill har wid it’, tell her and try instead, to ‘thrill har wid it’.
